• Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is REQUIRED; Cannot be a Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R), Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P), or Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician (MA-HT).

FLOAT Outpatient Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) - Seattle Area, WA

• Schedule: 5x8hr, 0800-1700 (Monday - Friday // no weekends, holiday, or call)
• Experience: 1 year of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting and/or pediatric outpatient clinic setting is REQUIRED; General/Family Practice/Internal Medicine/Pediatric experience is REQUIRED
• First-timers accepted: Yes

• Is on-call REQ? No
• Will this traveler need to float between like units? YES, MA will float to various SMG clinics covering three regions across Seattle area ***MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTTION***
  • Central: West Seattle, Mercer Island, Ballard, Greenlake, Cherry Hill, etc
  • North: Richmond Beach, Shoreline, Edmonds, etc
  • East: Renton, Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, etc
• Locals accepted: Yes

SPECIAL NOTES:

• Floating is REQUIRED for this role. Each opening will be dedicated support for the three regions (Central, North, Eastside // see above) across the Seattle / Puget Sound area, addressing same day call outs for the clinics.
• SMG is facing a high volume of MA-C staffing needs. A combination of vacancies and FMLAs have taken up full capacity of the Float Pool, leaving no support to address same day staffing needs. With flu season around the corner, this team urgently needs dedicated MA-Cs to address these gaps that have and will severely impact operations.
• MA will get their schedule for the day morning-of. The team does utilize a scheduling portal, but the Staffing Supervisor will send the MA a direct text message between 6 and 6:30 AM. Shifts start promptly at 8 AM, so the MA will have 1.5 to 2 hours to get to their shift each morning once notified.
• MA will have 4 to 5 weeks of rotating with a preceptor for their orientation.
