Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as the UI/UX Lead supporting an enterprise-scale, cloud-native modernization initiative, shaping the user experience, and ensuring all digital interactions support the mission, enhance usability, and meet the needs of federal customers.

How a UI/UX Lead Will Make an Impact

·       Lead human-centered design efforts across mission-critical digital products.

·       Conduct and synthesize user research to inform product strategy and iterative development.

·       Develop personas, journey maps, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes aligned with federal accessibility standards.

·       Drive UX governance, ensuring consistent design patterns and accessibility compliance across products.

·       Collaborate with product managers and developers to refine requirements and validate design assumptions.

What You’ll Need to SucceedEducation:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Computer Science, or related field.

·       Equivalent experience will be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Experience:

·       10+ years designing user experiences for large-scale, enterprise applications.

·       Demonstrated experience performing comprehensive user research, including designing and delivering surveys, conducting user interviews, and compiling and analyzing data gained from these activities.

·       Demonstrated experience using design thinking methodologies, Agile concepts and practices, and product management principles to develop customer-focused software products.

·       Experience with visual and interaction design, specifically creating and implementing user interfaces based on user data gathering and analysis.

Technical Skills:

·       Proficiency with UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro, or Axure.

·       Strong knowledge of human-centered design, interaction design, and usability heuristics.

·       Understanding of accessibility principles and Section 508/WCAG compliance.

·       Ability to develop wireframes, prototypes, interaction flows, and annotated specifications.

Security Clearance Level:

·       Ability to pass a security background check.

Skills & Abilities:

·       Ability to communicate design direction to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·       Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

·       Ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive user interfaces.

·       Strong facilitation skills for design workshops and user research sessions.

Location: Remote. Some travel may be required.

Timeline: This is a contingent position, expected to start in March 2027.
